Bullocks Taken in Second Round of NFL Draft

Former Nebraska strong safety Daniel Bullocks was the first Husker selected in the 2006 NFL Draft, as the Detroit Lions tabbed Bullocks with the 40th overall pick on Saturday afternoon. The draft is currently continuing with the remainder of the second round and the third round to completed completed today, while rounds four through seven will be held on Sunday.

Colorado interviews Hawkins, Embree for coach post

Colorado officials confirmed that athletic director Mike Bohn interviewed two candidates to replace Gary Barnett over the weekend.

The first interview was of Boise State coach Dan Hawkins, in Idaho on Saturday. Hawkins confirmed Monday he met with CU and had informed his Broncos team of the meeting, but declined further comment.
